We explored the beautiful Machars area, with its safe, sandy beaches and abundance of wildlife. Just a short three-mile drive from the guest house, we found endless outdoor activities to enjoy. It was the perfect destination for a fun-filled family trip.
For dads, it would be great to have a small play area for children.

We had a fantastic time at a B&B in southern Scotland! The location was perfect, with breathtaking views of the sea and just a short walk to the charming village. Our room was spacious and clean, complete with luxurious bathrobes and binoculars to take in the stunning scenery. Breakfast was outstanding, with a wonderful selection of dishes to choose from. We especially enjoyed filling out our order form the night before - such a convenient touch! We highly recommend staying here for a unforgettable getaway.
Despite this, the B&B was an absolute gem and more than made up for it!

The rooms at Hawthorn House were amazing! They had plenty of wardrobe space to store all my clothes and the hairdryer came in handy. I especially loved the bathrobes - they made me feel like a fancy hotel guest!
Personally, I didn't really use the hairdryer much, but I can see how others might find it useful.

The homemade bread served at breakfast was exceptional, and the view from our bedroom offered an impressive sight of the bay. The friendly hosts were also knowledgeable about the local area, giving us great recommendations for places to visit nearby. the provided amenities, such as fresh towels and drinks, were enticing.
During our stay, we encountered a bit of trouble finding the hotel as it is located in a remote area. , we noticed some outdated decor in the room, which could use some modernization.

Had a fantastic Xmas break at a B&B on the Machar peninsula, with breathtaking views of the water. The homemade shortbread and chocolates left daily was a lovely touch. Breakfasts were delicious and offered a great range of options. Great location with plenty of bookshops and peaceful walks on offer.
The restaurant in the area wasn't up to par, it offered a very poor meal. , the room didn't have the best insulation;
